Covid19 - The next 12 to 18 months
Due to Covid-19, in the UK, elective surgery to be performed by the NHS has been cancelled for at least the next 12 months. There was already a significant backlog of elective surgery type operations with an average waiting list of 18 months to 2 years and also treatment that had been further delayed because of (a) hospitals being full of Covid19 patients but also (b) that many people were afraid to go to hospital because of the presence of Covid19.

It's a similar picture in most 'developed' countries. This also means that when elective surgeries are available once again, there will be an even larger backlog. Cyprus Elective Surgery Centre surgical activities will be almost exclusively joint replacement and arthroscopy.

This offers an unprecedented opportunity to be able to acquire many potential patients to not only alleviate pain and provide them with better quality of life but to also undertake surgery far more quickly than would normally be expected and at a significantly better cost than they would pay in their own country.

Covid19 is likely to be an issue. There is always the possibility of  significant Covid-19 outbreaks over the coming 24 months and while it would obviously impact immediate revenue to a degree, it would likely only be temporary.
